The Hannaford website and app are back online after a weekslong outage curtailed orders.
Hannaford announced on its website on Sunday that customers can now place to-go pickup and delivery orders.
“Hannaford.com and our app are online! Hannaford To Go pickup and delivery orders may be placed as slots become available. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your continued understanding.”
Originally, Hannaford said “network issues” were to blame for the outages at its stores.
Netherlands-based Ahold Delhaize later said the outages all stemmed from a cybersecurity incident, which impacted not only Hannaford, but other brand stores across the country.
According to the grocery giant, once the issue was discovered, it took a number of systems offline to protect them.
That led to websites being taken down, disruptions at pharmacies and canceled to-go orders.
The issue has been resolved, although details on the cybersecurity issue, or if customer information had been compromised.
