Two days after a Thanksgiving storm that dropped heavy, wet snow across much of Maine, some residents remain without power.
The state’s two major utilities made gradual progress overnight, restoring power to about 4,000 customers from 9:40 p.m. Friday, to 7:30 a.m. Saturday.
At 7:30 a.m., Saturday, Versant Power reported 4,152 customers without power, or roughly 2.5 percent of those it serves. The outages were scattered throughout Penobscot County and northern Hancock County.
Central Maine Power reported 11,297 without power, or about 1.7 percent of its customers.
