Running from November 25 to December 15, the three-week initiative offers discounted transaction fees for users purchasing crypto via popular Indonesian payment methods, as per Tonkeeper’s latest press release.
The campaign aims to make crypto purchases more affordable and accessible by providing significantly discounted rates for various payment options widely used in Indonesia. Fees are reduced to 1.9% for BNI and BRI transactions, 2.3% for QRIS, 3.5% for DANA, 3.9% for ShopeePay, and 4.2% for OVO payments. These rates represent a substantial cut from the standard fees, giving users a cost-effective entry into the TON blockchain ecosystem.
To participate in the campaign, users simply need to open the Tonkeeper app, navigate to the Browser Tab and select Mercuryo. By leveraging Mercuryo’s seamless integration with Tonkeeper, users can enjoy a streamlined experience with reduced fees and no hidden costs.
The Emerging Hotspot For Crypto Adoption
Notably, Indonesia is emerging as a hotspot for crypto adoption, fueled by a tech-savvy population, a rapidly growing digital economy, and increasing access to blockchain-based financial tools. Indonesia has particularly witnessed a surge in cryptocurrency interest among younger generation, looking for alternative investment opportunities and digital payment solutions.

In a recent development, Indonesian crypto transactions have hit a new record of 475 trillion rupiah ($30 billion) in 2024. This marks a 350% jump from $6.5 billion in 2023. Indonesia’s crypto market shows strong growth in the global space, with crypto transaction numbers reaching all-time highs and setting new benchmarks for digital asset adoption in Southeast Asia.
