Winter-like temperatures have arrived in Maine, and they are expected to stick around all week. Snow is also looking likely later this week.
Monday will be quiet and cool. Highs will be in the mid-30s with a few afternoon clouds.
Tuesday looks very similar to Monday, with a cold and sunny start with more afternoon clouds. There is also the potential for a few flurries or snow showers Tuesday afternoon. Highs will be in the mid-30s.

Light snow will continue off and on Thursday, though rain could mix in along the coast. Snow wraps up Thursday evening with a couple to a few inches in many areas. The highest totals will be in the mountains.
Frigid air then moves in for Friday with highs struggling to get out of the 20s. It will also be very windy, there will likely be areas of blowing snow, and there could even be a few scattered outages.
There is potential for more light snow Saturday with another clipper system, but confidence in that forecast is low at this time.
The big story this weekend will be how cold it is. Highs will be in the 20s or low 30s for Saturday and Sunday. Moderation in temperatures doesn’t look likely until some point next week.
