A Westbrook man allegedly killed his roommate back in November.
James Fowler, 47, has been charged with depraved indifference murder in the death of 59-year-old Robert Seger, according to Shannon Moss, a spokesperson for the Maine Department of Public Safety.
Seger was found unresponsive in his Lamb Street about about 11:35 p.m. on Nov. 21, Moss said Wednesday.
Seger was taken to Maine Medical Center in Portland, where he later succumbed to multiple blunt force injuries.
Fowler, who was Seger’s roommate and had called 911, told police they had an argument, he left and then came back, according to Moss.
The Maine medical examiner’s office ruled Seger died from blunt force trauma and ruled his death a homicide.
Fowler was arrested at 7:35 p.m. Tuesday at the Lamb Street apartment. He was taken to the Cumberland County Jail in Portland.
