The suspect in a Portland homicide was arrested Tuesday at the Scarborough Walmart.
Domingus Nobrega, 48, of Portland has been charged with murder, according to Brad Nadeau, a spokesperson for the Portland Police Department.
Nobrega was arrested in the death of 43-year-old Matthew Merrick of Portland, whose body was found about 5:35 p.m. on Nov. 30 in a Marshall Street apartment, Nadeau said Wednesday morning.
The Maine medical examiner’s office on Sunday ruled Merrick’s death a homicide.
Portland police arrested Nobrega at the Scarborough Walmart on Tuesday. Nobrega was taken to the Cumberland County Jail, where he is being held without bail.
No additional information was released.
