A man was found stabbed in a Portland apartment Wednesday night.
Officers found the 56-year-old man suffering from an apparent stab wound in an apartment on Munjoy South Street about 11:35 p.m., according to Brad Nadeau, a spokesperson for the Portland Police Department.
He was taken to Maine Medical Center, where he was in critical condition.
The stabbing remains under investigation, and police don’t believe there is a threat to the public.
No additional information was immediately available.
