A man was arrested Tuesday morning after a standoff in Oakland.
Jason Grant, 45, of Oakland has been charged with domestic violence criminal threatening, domestic violence terrorizing, creating a police standoff and violating his conditions of release, according to Shannon Moss, a spokesperson for the Maine Department of Public Safety.
Grant allegedly threatened to harm his ex-partner and others in her home in Palermo.
Police went to an Ayer Street home, where they attempted to convince Grant to come out peacefully. After several hours, Grant was taken into custody, Moss said.
He was taken to the Waldo County Jail in Belfast, where he was being held without bail.
