Yes, it has been extra snowy in Bangor.
As of midnight Tuesday, Bangor has seen 8.5 inches of snow, according to the National Weather Service office in Caribou.
That’s the most snow Bangor has seen up to this point since 2019, the weather service said early Wednesday morning.
It’s also close to the 1991-2020 average of 8.7 inches through Dec. 10.
But that snow won’t be around for long. Wednesday will see between 1.5 and 2 inches of rain fall over Greater Bangor, along with temperatures reaching into the 50s. With that rain and the snowmelt, there’s a greater risk of flooding this week.
