A Monmouth man was killed Sunday evening in a collision in Winthrop.
Justin Mason, 28, was driving a black 2002 Chevrolet pickup truck west on Route 202, near the intersection with Royal Street, about 4:30 p.m. when he collided with a 2015 Dodge Durango driven by 41-year-old Mariah St. Laurent, according to the Kennebec Journal.
St. Laurent was driving east on Route 202 and was slowing to make a left-hand turn when the crash happened, the Journal reported.
Mason died in the crash.
His passenger, whose identity wasn’t available, was taken to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston with life-threatening injuries.
St. Laurent was taken to MaineGeneral Medical Center in Augusta with injuries not considered life-threatening.
The crash remains under investigation.
