A mobile home was destroyed by fire Friday on Braden Street in Presque Isle.
Presque Isle Fire Department personnel were at the scene early Friday afternoon, still dealing with the smoldering remains.
The homeowner, who has not yet been identified, was home at the time and was taken to A.R. Gould Memorial Hospital with burn injuries, Captain Kyle Bartley said.
Firefighters expected to be on site for some time, Bartley said.
Neighbors said the resident lived alone and had a dog. The terrified dog darted around the area as bystanders and firefighters tried to coax it to safety.
No other details were immediately available.
