PORTLAND, Maine — Central Maine Power says a motor vehicle crash on Saturday morning resulted in a power outage that impacted Portland International Jetport.
CMP posted on their Facebook that crews were on scene of the crash and working to restore power as quickly as possible.
A spokesperson with CMP says the power went out at around 7:30 a.m. and came back at 10:30 a.m.
A spokesperson from the Portland International Jetport says they did lose power for about two and a half hours but it has been restored at this time and they’re back to normal operations.
The jetport spokesperson says a Southwest flight from Baltimore stayed in Baltimore until power was restored but other than that, all other flights operated normally.
Airline teams went to manual backups for the duration of the outage as well.
It is unclear though if there were any injuries in the vehicle crash or what the cause of the crash was.
