Bangor International Airport announced on Monday that it would add a new weekly direct flight to the busiest airport in the world: Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport in Atlanta, Georgia.
Delta Airlines will begin weekly service from Bangor to Atlanta in June 2025. It’s not clear which day of the week the new flights will be scheduled, but that is likely to be announced in the coming months.
Though Bangor has flights to other major hubs including airports in New York, Chicago, Washington DC, Orlando and Philadelphia and seasonal flights to Charlotte, North Carolina, the Atlanta flights will help expand connections to other parts of the country to passengers flying out of the Queen City.
Delta previously offered weekly Atlanta flights out of Bangor in 2021, though that service was cut the following year.
