Michele Christle of Frankfort, Ruta Kadonoff of Belfast, and Andrea Stark of Monroe have joined the Maine Community Foundation’s Waldo County Committee.
MaineCF’s county and regional committees comprise community members who live or work in the region and serve as ambassadors for the foundation, sharing their knowledge and providing on-the-ground leadership for the foundation.
Kadonoff is the vice president for programs of Maine Health Access Foundation and serves on the board of Come Boating! and is a former Hospice Volunteers of Waldo County board member. Stark is volunteer director and trustee of Monroe Community Library and a volunteer at Monroe Elementary School. Christle is a freelance writer community relations manager with Torchlight Media.
Other committee members include Breanna Pinkham Bebb of Northport; Zach Schmesser of Belfast; Matt Curtis of Unity; and Polly Shyka of Freedom.
The Waldo County Committee’s volunteer advisors review grant proposals for MaineCF’s Community Building Grant Program and recommend grant awards from the Waldo County Fund.
Community Building supports a broad range of projects and organizations across the state, including arts, education, environment, economic development and human services. In 2024, the Waldo County Fund awarded eight grants totaling $70,000.
