A pedestrian died early Friday morning when a tractor-trailer hit him on an Interstate 95 offramp.
Mark Michaud, 49, of Fairfield was crossing the southbound exit 132 offramp in Fairfield about 3:37 a.m. when a tractor-trailer driven by 19-year-old Damon Sylvia of Milford hit him, according to Maine State Police Lt. Aaron Turcotte.
When police arrived, Michaud was dead, Turcotte said.
The offramp was closed during the investigation, which is ongoing, but has since reopened.
No additional information was immediately available.
