Resurgence Dance Company’s new production “The Siren of Crystal Lake” is an eclectic blend of hip-hop and contemporary ballet. Choreographed by Ashley Steeves and local guest artists, this full length theater performance tells a chilling tale of sailors who make their living mining for crystals in the siren infested lake. Soloist Maddie Imus performs dazzlingly as the titular siren, Amethyst, who falls in love with a naive sailor, which causes her to question humanity and kindness.
