The design for the 2025 Common Ground Country Fair poster has been unveiled.
This year’s poster was designed by Katherine Noble Churchill, and features two draft horses. Draft horses are an important fixture in Maine’s agricultural history.
“Each year, I look forward to attending the Common Ground Fair, enjoying the animals, crafts, music, and delicious organic food. My favorite part has always been watching Chris Lombard’s demonstrations of human/horse communication and connection,” Noble Churchill said of this year’s design, according to the fair’s Facebook page.
Along with farming and gardening topics, the fair features vendors and educational sessions on fiber, herbs, environmental issues, political causes, sustainable forestry, building skills, handcrafts and folk art at the three-day event. More than 1,000 exhibitors and speakers are present throughout the weekend event, which runs from Friday through Sunday on the third weekend in September.
The 2025 fair falls on Sept. 19, 20 and 21. Tickets typically go on sale in the summer, and can be purchased online as well as at a number of stores across the state.
