Ally Lewber advised her followers to “set some boundaries” amid the full moon, weeks after her boyfriend James Kennedy’s arrest for domestic violence.
“So today, we have a full moon in Cancer at 23 degrees. Full moons represent peaks, heightened emotions, heightened everything,” the astrologer, 29, began in an Instagram Reel shared on Monday, January 13. “When the moon is full, she’s like, ‘Remember me? I had to go through all of these phases over the past month and work really hard and set intentions and follow through on them so that I could be here tonight sparkling, shining.’”
Lewber went on to note that “this full moon is offering us opportunities to be protective and nurturing, emotional and maybe even a little nostalgic” before explaining why she’s less than thrilled about the placement.
“This full moon is sitting right next to Mars, which is retrograde in Cancer right now,” she said. “Not my favorite placement, because the moon — which, again, is our emotions and safety — is sitting next to Mars, the planet of conflict and action. So this isn’t soothing or serene, but it is a moment to express our emotions or to vent or to just feel a sense of, ‘OK, I just need to address this thing that’s been bugging me,’ or, ‘OK, maybe I need to finally set some boundaries here.’”

She continued, “Basically, just be cautious of any irritants that might show up, and of course on a full moon always take time to at some point in the day to love yourself and be proud of how far you’ve come. Take an Epsom salt bath, journal, cry, feel the feelings, release the feelings and then give yourself a really big warm hug.”
Earlier this week, Lewber said this year would be a “transition,” astrology-wise. “We are moving into new territory that we haven’t experienced ever, or in a really long time,” she explained in a TikTok video on Sunday, January 12. “We’re all experiencing and cocreating a new reality together. So it’s really up to us on how we want to show up this year.”

She also encouraged her viewers to “expect change” in 2025, adding, “Remember that it is OK to feel, it’s great to feel. Again, we’re human. But it’s also nice to just remember that we are just in the process of change. There is still so, so, so much magic to look forward to this year.”
Lewber’s astrology analysis comes one month after Kennedy, 32, was arrested for misdemeanor domestic violence after Burbank Police responded to a call “regarding an argument between a man and a woman.” A witness claimed they saw Kennedy allegedly grab a woman and throw her to the ground, but officers who responded to the scene reportedly did not see any visible injuries on the woman. Kennedy was later released on a $20,000 bond.
“We are in the process of conducting our own investigation into the allegations levied by the Burbank Police Department against James,” Kennedy’s attorneys said in a statement to Us at the time. “We understand that there were no injuries and we are hoping that, after careful review, the city’s attorneys will decide not to file formal charges.”

Days later, Lewber, who has been dating the Vanderpump Rules alum since 2022, broke her silence via Instagram Story, thanking “everyone who has reached out with love and support and for checking in on me.” She added, “I’m OK and taking the time I need right now. I deeply appreciate all the kindness and respect for my privacy during this time.”
According to an insider, Kennedy and Lewber are “still living apart but haven’t broken up” following his arrest. “James has been super focused on self-improvement and his sobriety and doing well,” the source said on Monday. “He’s been attending a schedule of meetings and support and taking it very seriously.”
