Another Portland apartment building was shot up Monday night.
The suspect fired at least four or five bullets at an Eleanor Street apartment building about 11:50 p.m., according to Brad Nadeau, a spokesperson for the Portland Police Department.
When officers arrived, they found several bullet holes in the building, including at least one that passed through a window and others in the siding, Nadeau said Tuesday morning.
This building was targeted in another shooting on Oct. 13, 2024, that struck a gas line there.
No additional information was immediately available.
This comes two weeks after another unknown suspect fired several bullets into a Wainwright Circle West apartment in Redbank Village in South Portland about 11 p.m. on Dec. 29, 2024. Another shooting was reported in Portland about 11:30 p.m. on Washington Avenue, where windows were shot out on a Ford Expedition. Shell casings were found on nearby Maplewood Street.
Just days earlier, someone fired more than a dozen bullets into a Cumberland Avenue apartment building in Portland. When police arrived there, they discovered numerous damaged windows and bullet holes in several apartments and shell casings in nearby Peppermint Park.
