A man has been charged with arson in a Tuesday evening fire that burned a Mechanic Falls home.
Daniel Field, 30, allegedly set a fire that went on to burn the residence on Pleasant Street, according to Lt. Aaron Turcotte, a spokesperson for the Maine State Police.
Field, who lives at the property and co-owns it, also faces a charge of failing to maintain or control a dangerous fire, Turcotte said Wednesday.
The fire remains under investigation.
