A Bangor man allegedly assaulted a woman at the city’s largest homeless encampment.
Christopher Glidden, 31, was charged with domestic violence aggravated assault, domestic violence criminal threatening, criminal mischief and violation of his conditions of release, according to Sgt. Jason McAmbley, a spokesperson for the Bangor Police Department.
The victim called police about 6 a.m. Tuesday while Glidden was allegedly assaulting her, McAmbley said Thursday morning.
Officers found Glidden and the woman in a parked car at the encampment, known locally as Tent City and Camp Hope, off Cleveland Street.
Glidden was arrested and taken to the Penobscot County Jail, where he remained Thursday.
