This weekend’s storm will continue to bring a mix of snow, sleet, and freezing rain to Maine, lasting into the early part of next week.
On Saturday, the snow will continue, becoming more scattered into the afternoon with some areas of sleet and freezing rain in southern Maine.
Most of the state will receive an accumulation of 2 to 5 inches of snow and sleet, with higher amounts in western Maine and little accumulation in southern Maine.

After a lull Saturday night, the next round of precipitation will begin on Sunday, beginning as freezing rain and sleet that will gradually change to rain along the coast, with the rain slowly pushing inland by Sunday night.
Inland areas could receive up to 0.2 inches of ice accumulation, with the most in the foothills in Maine, making scattered power outages possible there.

Milder air will slowly take over Sunday night. By Monday morning, pockets of freezing rain will be lingering only in the mountains.
The rain is expected to end by mid-morning Monday, with temperatures warming up into the 50s by the afternoon and evening.

A final round of rain along a cold front will move through Monday night. Temperatures will cool down as we head into Tuesday, which is expected to bring sunny weather.
