A woman died Monday morning after a pickup truck hit her in Lewiston.
Jessica Sawyer, 44, of Lewiston was crossing Main Street about 4:30 a.m. when she was hit by a northbound 2024 Toyota Tacoma driven by 31-year-old Jordan Blais of Auburn, according to the Lewiston Police Department.
Sawyer was critically injured and taken to Central Maine Medical Center, where she succumbed to her injuries.
The crash remains under investigation, but police believe weather and road conditions contributed to it.
No additional information was immediately available.
