BANGOR – Bangor’s original hometown musical team will kick off its 166th season of delighting audiences of all ages with the annual Member’s Memorial Concert at Peakes Auditorium, Bangor High School, on Sunday, April 13 at 3 p.m.
.This event is perfect for families, introducing children and adults alike to the joy of live music in a casual, engaging and welcoming atmosphere. At the Member’s Memorial concert, we celebrate the Band and all its members past and present who have made it a beloved mainstay of the community.
Conducted by Dr. Philip Edelman, Scott Burditt and Stephen Norris, the concert features a potpourri of old favorites and new music, including a delightful piece written just for the Bangor Band by our very own trombonist Stephen Norris.
“It’s so gratifying to compose music for the Bangor Band,” says composer, conductor and trombonist Norris. “This new piece has special messages in it for our Bangor neighbors!”
All Bangor Band performances are free and open to all.
