Liverpool striker Divock Origi has taken to social media on Monday, to confirm his imminent departure from the club.
It has of course long been common knowledge that Belgian international Origi is primed to bring a close to his Anfield chapter over the coming weeks.
Despite having established himself as something of a cult hero amongst the Reds faithful, the mutual decision was reached for the 27-year-old’s contract on Merseyside not to be renewed, ahead of its imminent expiration next month.
Serie A champions AC Milan, in turn, are expected to snap Origi up on a free transfer, joining fellow ex-Premier League star Olivier Giroud in the Rossoneri’s attacking ranks.
And now, as alluded to above, Origi himself has taken to his personal social media platforms, to bid a simple but no doubt heartfelt farewell to all associated with Liverpool.
In a post on his official Twitter account, the Belgian assured that ‘It was a special journey’, accompanying his message with Reds motto ‘YNWA’:

Origi calls time on his Anfield stint having of course played something of a bit-part role under the watch of Jurgen Klopp over recent years, but nevertheless boasting icon status owing to his penchant for finding the net on the grandest of stages.
The former LOSC Lille standout, all told, bagged 41 goals in Liverpool’s famed red, en route to glory in all of the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup, League Cup, UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup.
