Arsenal have seen a bid for Sassuolo and Italy striker Gianluca Scamacca rejected, according to reports.
This comes after it was confirmed on Friday that Alexandre Lacazette would be leaving the club on a free transfer when his contract expires at the end of June.

With Lacazette now gone, Arsenal have just Eddie Nketiah as a senior striking option as Folarin Balogun is certainly not ready for regular game time with the Gunners.
So, it is imperative Arsenal sign a new striker this summer if they are to stand any chance of competing in the Europa League or finishing in the top-four. A number of players have already been tipped to fill that role, the main one being Manchester City’s Gabriel Jesus.
Now though, a new name has emerged with Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport claiming that Arsenal have made a £35m offer for Sassuolo striker Gianluca Scamacca.
It is claimed that Sassuolo, who finished 11th in Serie A last season, are demanding a fee of £45m to part ways with Scamacca.
Who is Gianluca Scamacca?
Sassuolo signed Scamacca all the way back in 2017 when he joined from PSV’s youth system.
The forward has since impressed on loan and was finally handed a chance at his parent club this past season.
And, so far, Gianluca Scamacca is taking that chance well. He scored 16 goals in 36 Serie A outings during 2021/22. He was also called up to the Italian national team for the first time in September of last year.
Scamacca is under contract with his current side until 2026.
