The mother of Portugal and Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo was left looking altogether emotional on Sunday, after watching her son find the net in the colours of his country.
CR7 led Portugal back into action a short time ago.
After being held to a 1-1 stalemate by Spain in their tournament opener earlier this week, Fernando Santos’ men welcomed Switzerland to the Estádio José Alvalade, eyeing a return to winning ways.
And, when all was said and done on Sunday evening, get their form back on track is precisely what the hosts managed, in style.
A dominant display ultimately culminated in Portugal emerging on the right side of a 4-0 scoreline, to take an early lead atop the League A Group 2 table.
William Carvalho and Joao Cancelo were both on target across the 90 minutes, but, as alluded to above, it was that man Cristiano Ronaldo who went on to steal the show.
This came as the 37-year-old continued to defy the odds, en route to a brace, taking his international goalscoring tally to an eye-watering 117 goals.
Make that 117 international goals.

And, as alluded to above, in the process, one member of the crowd to have been left feeling the emotion of the occasion came in the form of Ronaldo’s mother.
After each of her son’s goals on the night, Maria Dolores dos Santos Aveiro was picked up on by the camera crew in attendance at the Alvalade.
And, on both occasions, she was spotted in a flood of tears, as the iconic attacker pointed into the stands, dedicating his latest groundbreaking efforts to his biggest fan:
