Tottenham are leading the race for Villarreal’s Pervis Estupinan, according to reports.
Estupinan has been on Villarreal’s books since September of 2020 when he departed Watford for just under £15m following one of the Hornets’ most recent relegations from the Premier League.
The 24-year-old has since become a key feature for Villarreal, playing a key role in their Europa League success in 2020/21 and also in them securing a Champions League semi-final berth last term.
Now, as per Spanish outlet Marca, Tottenham are leading the race to sign Pervis Estupinan with Villarreal making the left-back available this summer:

Given Tottenham can now offer Estupinan Champions League football next season and Villarreal cannot, the Ecuador international may find a move to north London appealing.
No potential fee is mentioned by Marca, but as Estupinan is under contract until 2027, Villarreal are in a decent bargaining position.
Sergio Reguilon on the move?
Should Estupinan make the move to Spurs, you would assume that Sergio Reguilon will be departing Tottenham.
This comes with the Lilywhites having already secured the services of Ivan Perisic from Inter Milan earlier this month to play as a left-wing-back.
And with Ryan Sessegnon ending 2021/22 as Spurs’ first-choice LWB, it is expected the young Englishman and Perisic will share playing time for that role next term, leaving little room for Reguilon.
