Arsenal have confirmed their second signing of the summer transfer window, with Fabio Vieira joining the club from Porto in a deal worth up to 40m euros.
The 22-year-old arrives after a strong season in Portugal, where he racked up 6 goals and 14 assists in 27 top-flight appearances and is set to provide competition both in central midfield and in the wide areas as Mikel Arteta looks to increase his options.
He becomes Arsenal’s second signing, after 19-year-old Marquinhos joined the club from Sao Paulo, with the Gunners expected to do far more business before the summer window is over.
Bem-vindo, Fabio ❤️

Vieira will wear the no.21 shirt for his new club, which was vacated by Calum Chambers in January when he departed the club.
Gabriel Jesus and Raphinha next?
Despite strong rumours surrounding Youri Tielemans this summer, it is understood that the Gunners have cooled their interest in the Leicester City midfielder for now as they look to do the more tricky deals early in the window.
That certainly applies to Raphinha, with the Leeds United winger joining the club as soon as the end of the week if reports are to be believed, though perhaps more cautionary reports suggest that while contact is certainly there, nothing has been agreed between the parties.
Meanwhile, Arsenal continue to close in on Gabriel Jesus, with Mikel Arteta’s side now clear favourites for his signature and ‘very very close’ to completing the deal, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
They are also expected to return with an improved bid for Ajax defender Lisandro Martinez, who they believe offers cover at centre-back as well as at left-back, and who could move for a fee of around £35m.
