Tottenham have offered Everton the chance to sign Steven Bergwijn as part of any deal for Richarlison this summer, but the Dutchman still prefers a move back to the Eredivisie in the hunt for first-team football.
Antonio Conte’s side have stepped up their chase for Brazilian Richarlison, who is expected to cost anywhere between £50m and £60m should he be signed for a straight fee, and there were even reports that the Lilywhites were targeting a double swoop for him and fellow forward Anthony Gordon this summer.
However, in an attempt to drive down the price, it has emerged that Tottenham have broached the possibility of including wantaway winger Bergwijn in any deal for Richarlison this summer, while Harry Winks has also been a longstanding target for the Toffees.

As per the Telegraph, Tottenham have offered Bergwijn plus an additional £20m. However, they add that ‘so far the latest player-plus-cash offer has been firmly rejected by Everton’, who are in financial difficulties and are therefore likely to prefer a cash-only solution.
For his part, despite the more financially lucrative offer made by Everton, it seems as though Bergwijn has his heart set on a return to the Netherlands with Ajax, who can offer Champions League football.
Tottenham searching for fourth summer signing
After a fast start to the transfer window, things have cooled somewhat on the white half of north London, with deals for Richarlison and Djed Spence becoming drawn-out affairs and a left centre-back still not sourced.
There is still a month before the Premier League season starts, and it seems as though they will need it as Fabio Paratici and co. look to complete as many as four more signings.
