Liverpool has said goodbye to Japanese international Takumi Minamino today as the 27-year-old winger is on his way to Lique 1 outfit AS Monaco.
Transfer insider Fabrizio Romano confirmed the deal between the two clubs earlier this evening, and the deal will see Liverpool receive a ~£13million fee upfront and another potential ~£2.5million in add-ons for the former Cerezo Osaka academy graduate.

Monaco boss Philippe Clement has previously confirmed an agreement between the Monegasque side and the player two days ago, with a deal now fully agreed that will see Minamino depart the club with two years left on his contract.
Minamino had spent just two and a half years at Anfield after arriving from Austrian giants RB Salzburg in the January window during the 2019-20 season but truly failed to make his time at Liverpool count under Jürten Klopp.
Despite hitting 16 goals in just 35 appearances for Japan, Minamino failed to kick on after a successful four and a half years with Die Roten Bullen that saw him hit a combined 107-goal contributions in 198 appearances across all competitions.
With recent deals for Darwin Núñez, Luis Díaz, and the upcoming purchase of Fabio Carvalho to be confirmed when the summer transfer window officially opens on 1 July in conjunction with Harvey Elliot on course to return to first-team duties in 2022-23, minutes were sure to be scarce for Minamino next season.
It will be interesting to see where the Japanese winger fits into the fold at the Principality club next season as well, with Monaco boasting no less than seven players currently taking up slots across the front three, and Minamino is sure to come to grips with the likes of Sofiane Diop and Gelson Martins for minutes on the pitch.
