A piece of footage centering on the efforts of Manchester United star David de Gea has piqued widespread attentions across the club’s fanbase on Saturday.
The Red Devils, of course, were back in action a short time ago.
In the club’s latest pre-season outing, Erik ten Hag’s troops made the trip to Perth, Australia, hoping to make it four wins on the trot in a meeting with Aston Villa.
When all was said and done, however, United were ultimately forced to settle for a share of the spoils.
This came despite the Manchester giants racing out into a two-goal advantage inside the opening 45 minutes, courtesy of a strike on the part of Jadon Sancho, followed by a Matty Cash own goal.

Villa pulled one back on the other side of the interval when Leon Bailey slotted home, before Calum Chambers’ header deep into injury-time ensured that Steven Gerrard’s men did not depart the Optus Stadium empty-handed.
And it was the goal netted by the former Arsenal man which, as alluded to above, has since given rise to widespread criticism of David de Gea.
The Spanish international, of course, has often been targetted over recent seasons for a lack of dominance of his own penalty area, particularly under the high ball.
And such shortcomings on De Gea’s part were on full display once more on Saturday.
This came as the shot-stopper was far too easily shielded away from an outswinging delivery from the right, before appearing to duck, rather than challenge Aston Villa’s attackers for the ball.
