A search is underway for a teenager missing from the Bangor area who reportedly escaped police custody on Tuesday.
Devyn Austin, 15, was being held in the custody of another police department when she went missing at around 5:15 p.m. in Bangor, according to Detective Lt. Brad Beaulieu of the Bangor Police Department.
Austin is described as a 5-foot-3 girl who weighs about 110 pounds, and has blonde hair described as being in a buzz-cut style, and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing a blue baseball cap, blue shirt and black shorts, according to Beaulieau.
Austin may be attempting to travel to Millinocket or Skowhegan, Beaulieau said, and anyone who may spot the teen is asked to contact their local police department.
