LEWISTON, Maine — A man is in serious condition after being shot in the parking lot of a Lewiston housing complex on Thursday afternoon.
The shooting happened around 2:40 p.m. at the Place St. Marie Housing Development on Oxford Street, according to officials. A 27-year-old man was found with a gunshot wound to the pelvis when officials arrived.
The man was taken to Central Maine Medical Center and is in serious condition.
The man appeared to have been fighting with someone before the shooting occured, officials said.
The circumstances of the shooting are under investigation.
