The New England Patriots have reportedly swung a trade to net them some draft resources.
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Patriots are trading third-year tackle Justin Herron to the Raiders.
The Patriots drafted Herron in the sixth round of the 2020 NFL Draft out of Wake Forest and made an impact early in his career, making six starts and playing in 12 games as a rookie. He also started four games in 2021.
During his press conference Wednesday, Bill Belichick was asked if he could confirm the report of the trade. Belichick dodged the question, in his own way.
“When we can, if we can, we will,” Belichick said.
