Bump watch! Rumer Willis is proudly putting her growing belly on display after announcing in December 2022 that she is pregnant with her first child.
The Dancing With the Stars season 20 champion revealed her baby bump in a series of black-and-white Instagram photos on December 20. Rumer wore a black, full-body leotard in the first snap, as her boyfriend, Derek Richard Thomas, kissed her belly.
The couple, who first hinted at their romance in spring 2022, captioned the announcement with a growing plant emoji.
Rumer’s family was quick to reshare the happy news, including her mom, Demi Moore, and sisters Scout Willis and Tallulah Willis. The House Bunny actress is the eldest child of Moore and ex-husband Bruce Willis.
“Entering my hot kooky unhinged auntie era 
,” Tallulah wrote via Instagram the same day, sharing her big sister’s pregnancy pictures.
Scout echoed her sister’s sentiments, adding, “Thank you @rumerwillis and @derekrichardthomas for co-creating my new best friend.”
Moore joined in on the fun, calling her new role her “hot kooky unhinged grandma era.” One day later, the Ghost actress gushed over Rumer, sharing a photo of the pregnant star at the doctor’s office with her siblings.
“Saying hello to the little nibblet!! Overjoyed for you, my sweet Rumer,” Moore captioned the group snap. “It’s an honor to witness your journey into motherhood and can’t wait to welcome this baby into the world!”
The Rumer Has It founder’s stepmother, Emma Heming Willis, who married Bruce in 2009, sent the expecting couple her well-wishes in December. (Heming Willis shares daughters Mabel and Evelyn with the Die Hard actor.)
“Baby news is happy news!!!” the Coco Baba founder captioned a black-and-white silhouette of her stepdaughter’s belly via Instagram. “Congratulations @rumerwillis and @derekrichardthomas We are elated over here!

Ahead of their pregnancy announcement, Rumer and Thomas kept their romance somewhat under wraps. The What Lies Ahead actress gushed via Instagram in May 2022 about performing with the musician at Jam in the Van, calling him one of the “most talented” singers.
Three months later, Thomas returned the favor in a sweet birthday tribute for his girlfriend. “Thank you for being you 
you’re a magical human I’m so glad you came into my life,” the Hail Maries producer wrote in August 2022.
The couple confirmed their romance three months later by posting a series of Instagram photos during a winter getaway.
