SOUTHPORT, Maine — The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office is asking members of the public to keep an eye out for a 39-year-old man missing since July 21.
Brian McNamee was last seen at his job at the Southport General Store on July 1, according to officials. He reportedly took his chef knives and other belongings from work on the day he left.
On June 30, he had reported to his boss that he was attacked and had abrasions on his face, officials said. McNamee had also said he had recently lost his cellphone.
McNamee had been camping at the Penny Lake Preserve in a tent. Deputies found his campsite and some of his belongings in a search of the area.
McNamee’s family says he is known to wander and work in seasonal resort towns. It is also common to lose contact with him for long periods.
Anyone with information about McNamee can contact Det. Jared Mitkus by phone at 207-882-7332 and by email at [email protected].
