A Rockland woman will serve at least eight years in prison after sharing a video of an infant being sexually assaulted.
Bianca Van Valkenburg, 28, pleaded guilty to a single count of distribution of child pornography, according to the Portland Press Herald.
A more serious charge of sexual exploitation of a minor is expected to be dismissed by the U.S. attorney’s office.
Van Valkenburg was tracked down after police in Florida discovered a video of an adult sexually assaulting a male infant on a cellphone led them to her, according to the Press Herald.
Van Valkenburg later admitted to sharing the video.
Under a plea agreement, Van Valkenburg must serve at least eight years in prison to be followed by at least five years of supervised release.
A sentencing date has not yet been scheduled.
