A 21-year-old woman died after becoming pinned between two trucks on Long Island on Monday evening.
Alyssa Fluet of Methuen, Massachusetts, appeared to have been pinned between a 2004 Ford Ranger and a 1998 Ford Ranger at around 8 p.m. on Monday evening, according to Capt. Kerry Joyce of the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office. After an initial investigation, officials believe that the 1998 Ranger started to roll from a parked position, and Fluet attempted to stop the vehicle from moving.
The woman was pinned between the vehicles and seriously injured. Fluet died at the scene.
Neither of the vehicles had been occupied at the time that Fluet was injured, and no other injuries were reported.
An investigation is ongoing.
