The body of a missing Naples man was found Tuesday morning.
Joseph Jimino, 40, was found dead along South Tamworth Road in Otisfield about 9 a.m. by a game warden, according to Mark Latti, a spokesperson for the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife.
Jimino was last heard from Thursday evening when he told friends he was going riding on his red 2008 Yamaha Raptor ATV on nearby trails, Latti said.
Jimino never showed up for work on Friday or Monday, and neither his friends nor family heard from him.
Game wardens with assistance from the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office and the Naples and Casco fire departments searched for Jimino since Monday, but heavy rain and darkness hampered their efforts. The search resumed at 7 a.m. Tuesday, according to Latti.
It appears that Jimino was fatally injured in a crash on South Tamworth Road, a dirt road part of an ATV trail network. His ATV was found near him.
His death is not considered suspicious.
Jimino’s body will be taken to the Maine medical examiner’s office to determine a cause of death.
