A piece of history in Skowhegan is soon to be just that — history.
After 70 years in operation, the Skowhegan Drive-In is closing for good this weekend, and it’s going out with a bang with classics.
The line-up on Friday is the original “War of the Worlds” from 1953. It will be shown at 8 p.m.
Following that, Alfred Hitchcock’s all time classic “Psycho” and “The Perfect Storm” wraps up the night.
On Saturday, the show begins with “Smokey and the Bandit” at 7 p.m. followed by “The Shining.”
“Twister” will be the final film ever shown at the drive-in.
