The death of a baby in Lewiston is not considered suspicious.
The Maine Department of Public Safety told the Sun Journal while toxicology reports won’t be available for a few weeks, nothing at this point suggests the death was suspicious.
Police were called to Main Street just before 9 a.m. Sunday for a report of an infant who had died.
The Maine State Police Major Crimes Unit assisted the Lewiston Police Department in the investigation, which is standard procedure in a child’s death.
No other details have been released.
