A suspect has appeared in court charged with the murder of a man in Inverclyde.
Michael Beaton, 35, was found seriously injured on Drumfrochar Road, Greenock, at around 7.20pm on 26 November.
He was taken to Glasgow’s Queen Elizabeth University Hospital but died a few hours later.
Alexander McQuillan, 25, was arrested and charged in connection with Mr Beaton’s death and appeared at Paisley Sheriff Court on Monday.
McQuillan has been charged with murder, behaving in a threatening or abusive manner, and theft of a motor vehicle.

McQuillan, of Greenock, made no plea to the three charges.
He was remanded in custody and is due back in the dock within the next eight days.
