A fire at Bristol Airport’s car park has destroyed vehicles and caused delays to flights.
The blaze broke out in the Silver Zone cark park on Sunday morning.
Avon Fire and Rescue Service said 11 cars were on fire – with four or five vehicles “completely destroyed”, according to Bristol Live.
The airport runway was reportedly closed briefly as a safety precaution but has since reopened.
A spokesperson for the airport told the BBC there had been some minor delays to flights.
“We’ll contact the owners of any damaged cars as soon as possible,” the spokesperson added.
The fire service told Bristol Live there were no injuries and the blaze is not being treated as suspicious as it appears to have been caused by “accidental ignition”.
Crews managed to extinguish the fire by around 12pm.
