The body of a second woman who went missing in Monday’s storm has been found.
Gertrude Richard, 61, of Mexico had driven past barricades on Carlton Avenue in her truck about 4:21 p.m. Monday when it was swept under the Red Bridge between Mexico and Rumford, according to police.
Two passengers, a 37-year-old man from Mexico and a 53-year-old man from Rumford, escaped the truck and were rescued.
Both men were taken to Rumford Hospital and treated for hypothermia.
Richard and another passenger, 20-year-old Ciara Cooper of Mexico, were not found Monday night.
As the water began to recede, the truck and Richard’s body were found Wednesday morning about 30 feet from the bridge.
Cooper’s body was found Thursday morning about 100 feet from the bridge.
