A Jay man was killed Tuesday in a collision in Canton.
Vance Wilder, 57, was driving a 2015 Toyota RAV4 west on Canton Point Road about 12:30 p.m. when he lost control, crossed the centerline and struck a 2013 Ford Escape driven by 63-year-old Cynthia Melanson of Dixfield, according to the Sun Journal.
Wilder then struck a Central Maine Power Co. pole, cutting off electricity to the area, the Journal reported.
Wilder died in the crash.
Melanson was taken to Rumford Community Hospital, where she was treated for injuries not considered life-threatening, according to the newspaper.
The crash remains under investigation.
