BANGOR — Join The Briar Patch Bookstore on Tuesday, Jan. 16 at 6 p.m. at BookSpace (48 Columbia Street) to celebrate the launch of Maine author D. Dauphinee’s new YA novel “The Sage of Dibbin Creek”, a coming of age story about how the right mentor can change everything. The author will be talking about his latest book and lessons from previous books as well as answering audience questions. He will also be signing copies of “The Sage of Dibbin Creek”.
D. Dauphinee is an American author of novels, biographies, and essays. His writing has gained a following with readers interested in the out-of-doors, history, travel, human interest, fly fishing, and the construction of essays. His previous books include novels “Highlanders Without Kilts”, “The River Home and All the Creatures That Breathe” and nonfiction books “When You Find My Body” and “Stoneflies & Turtleheads”.
For 35 years, The Briar Patch has inspired and delighted generations of readers of all ages in Bangor. Specializing in children’s books and creative playthings from birth through high school, the shop also carries grownup books including fiction, cookbooks, titles on parenting, resources for teachers and more.
