A police watchdog has launched an investigation following the death of a motorcyclist who was hit by a Range Rover that did not stop for officers in southwest London.
The rider was killed on the A3 near Putney Common in the early hours of Monday morning.
The 4×4 failed to stop for police at around 12.30pm, sparking a chase before it hit the motorbike which overturned, said the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC).
The motorcyclist was declared dead at the scene and the driver of the Range Rover was not seriously hurt.
