A man is recovering after being rescued off the coast of St. George.
First responders got a call around 5 p.m. Sunday about a man who had failed to arrive back on land when expected, according to the Courier Gazette.
A few minutes later, another call came in that a man could be heard yelling for help near the islands off Tenants Harbor.
Maine Marine Patrol along with other local departments responded and rescued a 50-year-old man. Crews brought him to shore just before 8 p.m.
The man was treated for low body temperature.
