An Ellsworth man has been arrested for the second time in a week for alleged drug trafficking.
Jeffrey Card, 48, charged with unlawful trafficking of methamphetamine on Jan. 24 when he was arrested along with five other people for allegedly distributing cocaine, fentanyl and meth across Hancock and Washington counties, according to the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency.
After Card was arrested on Jan. 24, he was released on $5,000 bail.
During a Wednesday search of his Kylie’s Way home, as required by his bail conditions, police found half a pound of fentanyl and 36 grams of meth, both worth an estimated $42,000, the MDEA said Thursday.
Card now faces charges of aggravated drug trafficking and violating his conditions of release.
He was taken to the Hancock County Jail.
